there was a post in the forums recently about wedding photography. Since I did some amateur wedding photography recently I figured I could add some wisdom to that. Now, since posts vanish in the depths of dAs forum pretty quickly I thought it might be nice to be able to keep the journal handy in case I need it again. (Well, I am writing this up because I want to show it to somebody already)
Keep in mind that I'm an amateur photographer and that those tips are geared towards non-pros as well.
1) Expectations of the couple:
Does the couple want professional pictures without paying the price? There is a reason why pro wedding photographers are expensive. You don't get any do-overs, no 'smile-agains' and certainly no 'lets-say-our-vows-agains'. If you miss a special event it's gone, period. Being a non-pro will most likely mean you'll miss on some things, or wont be able to capture some perfectly, that's why you do it for free (or at least much less than any pro would). If

Photography, dog training and horses are my passions. I currently have a lovely Thoroughbred gelding, as well as 12 dogs who work stock as well as doing some agility and tricks. I'm currently a student, and also run my own pet photography business specialising in on location, natural light photography. I also try to get out to photograph as many equestrian events as I can.
